Principle of Semi-Refined Paraffin Wax:
It is produced during the initial stages of the refining process of crude petroleum oil. The principle behind its production involves the following steps:

Crude Oil Distillation: Crude petroleum oil undergoes distillation, a process where it is heated to separate different components based on their boiling points. As a byproduct of this distillation process, slack wax is obtained.
Solvent Extraction: The obtained slack wax is further processed using solvents to remove impurities, such as oil, resin, and colorants. Solvent extraction helps improve the quality and purity of the wax.
Deoiling and Filtering: The solvent-extracted wax is subjected to deoiling, where it is treated with various methods like chilling, centrifugation, or filtration to remove any remaining oil content and solid impurities. This step helps refine the wax and enhance its properties.
Solidification: The purified slack wax is then cooled and solidified into blocks or slabs. The resulting semi-refined paraffin wax has a relatively higher oil content and a lower degree of refinement compared to fully refined paraffin wax.

Semi-refined paraffin wax retains some of the natural impurities and characteristics of crude oil, making it suitable for specific applications where a less refined or textured appearance is desired.
